every face, compared.

Nan still looks like Nan

We find every face in your original and compare each one with the mended version. If a face has changed, we keep your original face, cleaned up, and only add colour.

  • Faces too small to compare, in a big group, are always kept from your original.
  • We never invent a face. A face torn away is left as it was, not drawn in.
  • The face report comes with the free preview, and the preview is exactly what you keep.

More questions and answers
What can you mend?

Tears, creases, cracks, scratches, dust, stains, mould spots and fading, on black and white, sepia and colour prints. We can add colour to black and white photos too, if you'd like it.

Will the faces stay the same?

That's our promise. We compare every face in the mended version with your original, and if one changes we keep your original face, cleaned, and only add colour. How we mend a photo.

How much does it cost?

The preview is free. Keeping a photo costs £5.99. Packs: 3 photos £12.99, 5 photos £17.99, 15 photos £34.99. See every price.

Do credits expire?

Credits from a pack last 12 months from the day you buy it, and we email you a month before any unused ones expire. One credit keeps one photo, on any device once you've signed in.

Who mends my photo?

An AI image model does the mending, following our fixed instructions. No person retouches photos, and we don't take requests to change what's in a photo, such as adding or removing someone.

How do I photograph an old print?

Lay it flat on a table, away from the window, tilt it slightly away from the light and fill the frame. Your phone's own camera is ideal. A scan works too. See it mended.
